About Electronic Skills Programme 2020 - Level 1 Virtual Labs

This course is an introduction to breadboarding electronics with some basic components, tools and test equipment. This course is instructor led practical course with online group workshops where breadboarding will be demonstrated and you will have the opportunity to ask the tutor any questions you may have over videoconference. Please note that you will be invited to start the course on the opening date once you have successfully registered on the learning platform.

What do I need to know before I start?

Whilst we expect no prior experience of Tech Lancaster courses or knowledge about the electronics industry to complete this practical session, it is preferable that you have already started working through or completed TL1.

To participate in this practical you will need the TL Electronics Kit which will have been pre-supplied by post. Please contact us if this has not arrived.

Workshop Tutor - Joe Mathews

David is a professional educator who also has experience working in the electronics sector.
David leads on tuition and workshops focussing on fundamentals, instrumentation, measurement and analog electronics, as well as some introductory learning around programmable electronics (Arduinos). David is also able to answer any questions via email or in 1-to-1s by request. Any questions should be raised in the first instance in discussion forums or via a support email.
