About Electronic Work Experience Programme 2025 - Level 0 Introduction

This course is the first of the Tech Lancaster programme which is non-technical and is designed to give you an overview of the programme, Tech Lancaster, the online learning platform and learning tips and general information about the electronics industry. In order to progress to the next area of the course, you must complete the introduction first TL0.

What do I need to know before I start?

We expect no prior experience of Tech Lancaster courses or knowledge about the electronics industry to complete this module as it is non technical. The aim is to introduce you to our programme, the electronics industry and provide further helpful tips and information.

Workshop Tutor - Joe Mathews

Joe is a professional educator who also has experience working in the electronics sector.
Joe leads on tuition and workshops focussing on fundamentals, instrumentation, measurement and analog electronics, as well as learning around programmable electronics (Arduinos). Joe is also able to answer any questions via email or in 1-to-1s by request. Any questions should be raised in the first instance in discussion forums or via a support email.

Programme Manager - Nicola Mortimer

Nicola from Tech Lancaster is responsible for ensuring delivery of the online learning programme and is also available to answer queries on how Tech Lancaster can support a career in electronics or similar technical roles.
